…for the weekend π
just hoping it will end up into a nice leathersheath π
…the leathersheath on this one, which blade I hasn’t seen for a long time π
useing a small brush at the details and a bigger one for the rest of the sheath π
so at last I’m able to se the blade π
…before I starrt to sew the leathersheats for this two knifes π
so I started with just a half leathersheath πΒ and this knife has been waiting for a sheath for about four months π¦
but I’ll make it easy for me and make it in shaftleather π
whoops! I was lucky to se this in time π
hopefully I’ll dyed this oneΒ tomorrow πΒ must say it has been a good practise for me today π
…woodenliners?Β Β since I’ve got two knifes just waiting to get dressed, I thoughtΒ π
and here they are hanging on the wall after aΒ hot bath in linseed-oil.
just for me to wait a week till the oil has harden, before I can start with the leathersheaths.
and here’s a photo of the knifes that are waiting for there sheaths π
…during the weekend π
the plug is in place, not so big, but it’s a small knife π
there is still some small adjustings to do, but soon it’s time for me to start thinking of the leatherwork π
…a big knife or a small knife, it still take time for me π
but at least here is some photos of the progress of a small knife π
something to fill up the hole withΒ π
I’m getting closer and closer till it’s time for the leatherwork π
…what I’ve done today π
tinspacers and vulcanfiber.
24 hours epoxi.
and this is whats holding it together π
and now it’s just waiting for my files π
…of what I’ve done today π
wet sanding the front of the bolster
and the bolster is glued in place π
just the other parts of the handle left to glue π
…to build a knife π since I hasn’t made any knives for a while, I thought that I start with a small one π
a very nice little blade in mars-steel, grinded by Robert Mattsson is just perfect π
and some purple birch burl and a black pice of crosscut masurbirch for the handle π
here we go…
