… this is how far I come 😉
Uncategorized
time to go on…
and now…
… this knife is finished 🙂
a blade in Elmax, grinded by Anders Hedlund, polished to 1200 grit.
handle in musk ox antler, African blackwood, stabilized crosscut spalted ash and pewter spacers 🙂
and a sheath in raw hide leather.
so it’s time…
… to make a beltloop 🙂 I make it out of rawhide leather.
and when it’s dry, I will make a nicer button 😉
so it’s…
… dyed 🙂
but I’ll let the knife stay in the sheath for a day or two, before I try to take it out 😉
all the parts…
while I’m waiting…
… for the glue to harden, I prepared the leather for the sheath 🙂
1,8 mm. thick raw hide leather 🙂
nope…
… no leatherwork, start to build a huntingknife instead 🙂
musk antler, african black wood, a nice piece of walnut and brass spacers 🙂 the blade is grinded by Robert Mattsson
95 mm. long Elmax steel 🙂
still waiting…
… but at least everything is ready for the leatherwork 🙂
but I’m taking a week of, so the knife has to wait for the leather 😉
