and after 326 pricks with my awl the leatherpieces  looks like this 🙂

a Damascus blade, forged by Robert Mattsson, mammoth, a whale tooth and dyed and stabilized masur birch.

but… I got some leatherwork to do before I start 🙂

… on the belly line, and a little more fileing on the pewter spacers 🙂 and it was ready for some oil and buffing 🙂

but I don’t feel for leatherwork right now, so that have to wait 😉

…had to wet the handle with water 🙂

…having the seam on the front, I put it on the side on this sheath 😉

… that’s missing now is a braided leather cord for the sheath, so it could be hanging around the neck 🙂

the total length of this little knife is just 135 mm. 🙂
