…what I beeing up to last weekend. I made my first time ever one pice handle knife 🙂

and it was so fun to shape the form of the handle with just my whittler, except for the guard 😉 so I nearly forgott to take up my camera.

this was a new experience for me, and I’m sure I will do more of this knives in the future 🙂

…I dyed the sheath for the knife with camel-bone 🙂

and this is how it become

I have come to a decision that I will leave that camel bone like it is, so it will not bee any fileing or stippling on it.

…well today I covered it with shaft-leather 🙂

and tomorrow is wednesday, so I got to remember to pic up the grandchildren at the day nursery 🙂 so it will not bee any knife building tomorrow 😦

…to form the handle

starting to form it from the bolster and then working backwards to its finaly shape 🙂

…to spend some time in my workshop, and started to form the handle before it was time for me to pic up two of my grandchildren from the day nursery 🙂

And when my daughter came and and fetch them in the afternon I was to tired for knifemaking 😉

…for staying indoors and devote one’s time for knifemaking 🙂

…is now ready for the blade

since the wood in the handle is cross cut, I will let the tang ended just  1 cm. from the end of the handle 🙂

…for another day or two so that I will be sure that the linseed oil has get dry.

then it’s time for some leatherwork on the camelboone knife 🙂

in the meantime I have started up a new projekt 🙂

…any longer.

here is the knife that I only have been showing you in close-up before:

no, no I didn’t win with this knife 😦

🙂          🙂          🙂          🙂          🙂          🙂          🙂          🙂          🙂          🙂

but with this knife I achieved 3:rd in class U.B. 🙂

so I’m very satisfied with the weekend in Söderhamn 🙂

…for this week, so I will make it big 🙂

I have not decide if I will leave the camel boon like it is, or…?
