while it’s raining today…
it looks like…
…it’s going to rain tomorrow, then I can stay indoors and make that leather sheath to that knife in black birch and box elder 🙂
got to form…
…the wooden sheath.
and when that is done
it*s time for a bath in the hot lenseed oil
and now i’ll put it aside for a week or two before the leatherwork
so far…
the pieces…
…for the handle are now ready to be glued together.
I have decided not to use any tin or vulkanfiber spacers on this one, just the wood spacers.
and after a visit in the bandsaw, the handle now looks like this
time for me to form the handle 🙂
here is…
…what I’m going to use for my next raven-knife. a small blade in AEB-L, only 6.8 cm. long, spalted birch for the handle and sheath and stab. Â masur-birch for the bolster.
a piece of…
…spalted birch and a blade grinded by Michael Holmström, to me it means that I’m going to make my 5:th raven-knife :).
Here is some pictures of the first four raven-knives:
and now is…
the knife…
…for my friend is finished, so here comes some pictures of it:
I hope that he’s going to like it, even if I have changed the profil of the blade and done some fileworks. well I will sone find out 😉
as I said…
…for ten days ago,” it’s about time” for me to show whats going on
blade by Göran Enoksson in Dama steel, handle in stab. dyed birch and box elder.
