…fileing to do on the tin spacers, but I’m pleased with how the mixing of the blue and yellow leather dye become 🙂
…this afternoon, and cowerd my fingers with “electricity” tape and started to sew my sheath 🙂
after a few hours hard work it look like this 🙂
the only thing that worry me now is…..can I get it out! I’ll find out in a few days 😉
…for that reason that I’m going to sew a leather sheath tomorrow 🙂
…and that’s the only reason 😉
…to why you should cover the blade with tape BEFORE you start the fileing 😉
on this knife I will have a short and straight form of the sheath, as you can see by the wooden liner. hopefully I will have a “leatherweekend” to be looking forward to later on this week 🙂
…in the but end 😉
the wood in the handle is cross cut, and the tang of the blade ends about 3 cm. from the end. so I will use a steel pin to strengthen the last part of the handle 🙂
in this “big hole” I will put a pice of mammoth 🙂
… and other files
this handle seams to bee a litle bit chameleonic,   it has become more green than blue after the fileing.
…
… I have already start to file the handle with my rasp, this stabilized pice of birch was realy hard.
…a lot of rubber this morning
finaly I ended up with this, and I’m feeling fairly pleased with it 🙂
