…now when I have glued all the pices of the handle together, I’m not sure if I like my first sketch 😦

so I have decided to take the weekend off, and see if my “headache” is better next week 🙂

…any carving with my wittler on this one, that’s for sure!

      I had a hard time with myself to decide how the start of the handle should look like.

                                             but the “blue” side won 🙂

                                                           the two knives are quite alike but still very various, and I must say that I had a great time making them 🙂

…that my “leatherweekend” ends today, and here is the result of it:

I will try to take some better photos of the knives after the “real” weekend 🙂

…start on a Wednesday 🙂 and the work went on very well.

I succeded to make two sheaths and hopefully I will dye them today.

 but today I have dyed the handle, started with black and then sanding before I went on with tan.

…this morning, wanted to give the handle its finished sanding before

two of my grandchildren arrive. since they are going to stay over

the night I guess there’s no knifemaking tomorrow 😉

I got to do something about this cracks, but not today 🙂

…the profile, and also draw the lines of how thick I want the handle to become.

with some files I shape the “guard” on the handle, and then it’s time for some “whittleing” 🙂                                            and I like it 🙂
