Christmas Eve…
I finaly succeed…
…to find some time for making a sheath to the knife with the wavy grained handle 🙂
the leather is rawhide, and I find it a little bit tricky to make, since I’ve not been making a sheath in rawhide leather for several years 😉
I also want to wish all the visitors on my “not every day updated” blog
a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 🙂
busy days now…
…wraping up christmas presents for the grandchildren whole day 😉  so I only had time for making a button for a beltloop 🙂
not so good…
…to prick your fingertip with the needle when you sew a sheath 😦 luckily I find a nice plaster so I could continue with the leatherwoork 🙂
and here it is after the dying and together with the knife 🙂
it took me a long time…
…to decide what to do with this knife, and I’m going to brake the handle and start all over again.
the reason for that is “MARROW” 😦  it didn’t made me happy when I was sanding the handle and suddenly saw the marrow
on that first pice of reindeer antler 😦 it’s newer fun when things like this happend 😦
anyhow, here are some photos over that knife that newer become finished
I glued the pices together, and will keep them in my workshop, just to remind me about this failure 😉
why is it so hard…
…to take a decent photo ;( , when it’s so easy to build a proper knife?
anyhow here is some photos of the finish knife 🙂
I must admit…
…that I was a little bit worried over my computer, when I wasn’t able to upload any photos 😦
but now it seem to work alright (fingers cross) so at last, here follows some photos of my work with the sheath to the cross cut oak knife 🙂
I started up with making 116 holes with my awl…:)
just give me a few more days and I will show you the finish knife, if my computer will 😉
it seems like I’m having problems…
…with my uploader 😦  just hope it will get fixed after the weekend 🙂
a sheath…
wet sanding…
…works very well on stabilized wood 🙂
at this moment it’s time to start making a wooden liner for this knife, the finaly finish have to wait till after the sheath is done 🙂
nearly forgott to show you the but end with its silver pins 😉
